Steam car

For my second thermodynamics class, we had to design and build a small steam powered car. Our car had a steam turbine housed in white HDPE, and drove the wheels through a CVT made of cassette tape. Although not successful in competition, it did work well under air power.
Final steam car. Most parts are 3D printed, and two carbon fiber arrow shafts are used as the main chassis elements. Here you can see it being powered by compressed air.

Cassette tape was used to transmit power from the turbine (white part) to the rear wheels.
